A little under a month ago I reinstated what I am calling camera walks – simply a walk in which I have my camera with me and take photos. This is something I used to do all the time but with the busyness of life and ever-changing routines, it was something that had got a little lost and as a result, in someways, I also felt a little lost.
Adding a camera walk to my routine was something I knew I needed to, even if that meant stopping doing something else to make it happen. So that’s what I did and here are the photos from those walks.

This day was a bit grey and there was nothing spectacular to photograph but I cannot say how much peace I felt in walking along the beach and being out for the first time in I don’t know how long! As I was walking along the beach, there was something about the way the water was moving that caught my eye. I loved the movement of the sea and the way the waves were moving into each other as the water crashed over the rocks underneath.

As I was leaving home for the school run, I could see a gorgeous mist rising from the ground and knew it would be a fabulous morning. After dropping the boys at school, I headed up to Pendam Lake – a place I don’t go very often but always love it when I do – and was greeted with some beautiful mist among the evergreens (see below). Because of the time of day, the sun was giving off it’s golden glow I love so much.

My eldest boy absolutely loves being outside and he really enjoys watching the starlings that fly into the pier at this time of year so I made the most of the gorgeous weather this day and took him for a walk after school. One of the things I miss since he’s started school is our outdoor adventures, which sadly, seem to be few and far between these days. Maybe that’s something I can work on!?
I hope you enjoyed these photos and I hope to continue to share photos from my Wednesday Walks.
