Find What You Love and Do It

Photography. For me, the thing that I found and love is photography. I have had a camera on and off pretty much all my life but it wasn’t until about 4 1/2 years ago that I really took it up as a hobby. My husband bought me a dSLR for Christmas 2015 (I had asked for one) and I fell in love straight away. I was always going out with my camera, finding the next flower, plant or landscape to photograph. Photography reawakened my creativity.

As with anything, there have been times when I have used my camera a lot and times when I haven’t. Times when I’ve felt inspired and times when I haven’t. But boy, when I do feel inspired and am going through a phase where I want to take my camera everywhere, the joy I feel in the whole process – composing, capturing, editing – is wonderful. At the time of writing, I have just edited some photos I took earlier in the day of the waves crashing against the sea wall and I have this buzz from having done something I love and produced something I’m really pleased with. And so, I recommend and encourage you find what you love and do it.
